Languages are my passion – for me, they represent freedom and are a means to connect people and cultures. This is why it was easy for me to decide what career I wanted to pursue.
I founded my business more than 10 years ago after studying for three years to become a certified translator and interpreter for English and German and being publicly appointed and sworn in at the Würzburg regional court (Landgericht). I subsequently completed my Master's degree at the University of Salford in England, where I was awarded the Master of Arts in Interpreting and Translating with distinction.
Since then, I have worked in a number of subject areas - with a focus on medical and pharmaceutical texts - and have already interpreted at numerous conferences and other occasions covering a highly diverse range of topics and fields.
Rates
Please note:
Depending on what service you need, rates vary considerably and take into account a number of factors. I would be happy to send you a detailed quote for the services you request. Please see below for general pricing information.
Conference Interpreting
Interpreting services are charged on the basis of half-day rates (up to 4 hours) and full-day rates (up to 8 hours) plus travel expenses/ accommodation. An hourly rate can be negotiated for shorter services.
Translations
Costs vary for every project due to a number of factors such as the length of a text, whether the text is general or specialized in nature, the format of the source text and the deadline. Translations are charged on the basis of standard lines. Quotes on a word basis can be provided upon request.
Proofreading/Copy-Editing
The time required for proofreading or copy-editing texts also depends on a number of factors such as the necessary specialized knowledge and the quality of the source text. Proofreading/copy-editing of texts is calculated at an hourly rate.
SDL Trados Training
Individual and group training sessions are also calculated at an hourly rate.Contact
